Dies Irae tactical puzzle
A tactical puzzle with combat inspired by Clash of Heroes and island-based campaign progression in the spirit of Into the Breach.

Money and Progress Bar:
For every match made and every piece destroyed, you earn money, which on some islands can be used to buy resources. With every match and destroyed piece, your game progress bar increases, while War is also reducing it and earning money at the same time.
Important: The Mask piece is our Wild Card, replacing the third matching piece in a match.
WarLove is a true tug-of-war: if the progress bar reaches 100%, you win and move on to the next board. However, War will not allow that easily, always trying to keep it at 0%.
Islands and Biomes:
We have an island system where each island contains sub-islands/biomes. Each biome has a number of boards that you unlock and progress through.
On each island, you have access to specific abilities and resources, and the same applies to War.
Resources: Factory || Pieces with Abilities || Mercenary Contracts || Credits || Reputation.
Factory:
Each time a match is made using the basic pieces (Heart), your factory operates. Once its production cycle is complete, you will be able to choose what was manufactured: a 2x multiplier to the damage dealt to War for a few seconds || a Shield that blocks War’s factory from operating for a few seconds || a Sword that reduces part of War’s production progress.
Pieces with Abilities:
Each piece has a different ability. However, the base piece, the Heart, does not have the ability to destroy a War piece, and the Skull does not have the ability to destroy a Love piece.
Reputation:
To gain reputation, you must ensure that the progress bar, which starts at 0%, is not reset back to zero by War. If this condition is met, you earn 1 Credit to use on the next board.
Credits:
With enough Credits, you can move a piece from the Hierarchy—with a corresponding Credit value—so that it becomes the next Evolution or Fusion. This means you can move your most powerful piece to be the next in the evolution sequence. However, there is a waiting period after which that piece returns to its original position.

Mercenary Contracts:
With enough money, you can hire mercenaries to destroy War pieces on the board.
Important: War can also hire them
Important: This is a project in development, and this version already reflects what the game is intended to become. Your feedback will be very important.
Thank you for playing
